A Escape to Relaxation in the Scandinave Spa, Whistler, Canada

One of the plans I was dreaming a lot since this year started was the idea of having a weekend completely disconnected from all social media and emails, the fact of visiting a Spa outdoors and in winter season was perfect once I told my boyfriend about it, luckily we got this check off our to-do-list because we got to visit The Scandinave Spa in Whistler, Canada.

I got to the say the experience is surreal, our day started super early around 4:00am as we travel directly from Vancouver to Whistler that Sunday. We got into the spa around 9:00am to take all the photos, is important to know that cameras are not allowed after the spa open the doors to the public, this made us to completely disconnect and allowed us to really enjoy the moment, is a very private place where silence is a rule, you get into a point where the only thing you can do is just to relax, no talking, no nothing, just embracing the beauty of nature, the trees, the sun and the snow; every detail is considered to perfection.

One of the things we loved was the fact of having different zones, this is called the hydrotherapy process where you are able to choose the hot and cold baths.
The spa offers different spaces as the hot pool, sauna, eucalyptus steam room (our favourite one), thermal waterfall and speaking from the cold baths you get to choose the cold pool, nordic shower and the nordic waterfall.
After all these, then you get to pick the relax zone, these zones are divided in 3 parts:
- The solarium ( We literally fell asleep here because you get to a point where you feel so relaxed, it's incredible!)
-The outdoor fireplace and The Hammock Haven (which is a new release the spa launched recently)

Lastly, my recommendation is to arrive early around 10:00 to 11:00 am because there is always a line up, this spa is very requested among tourists from all over the world so after some hours they stop allowing people to come in, plus, you will get more time to enjoy all of the zones, from our experience, we visited some zones more than 3 times and my skin feels amazing!
Overall, we spent around 5 hours, they also have a place where you can eat and buy healthy snacks, there is hot tea available for everyone as also apple's. I got to say the service is 10/10, they are all really nice, everything is super clean, the bathrooms and showers especially. I love the fact that they had hair dryers, you will also have your personal locker to leave your things, you get your bath robe with your personal towel once you check in.
This is an experience we all should live once and I really can't wait to come back again.

Thanks for reading!
Laura
