Healthy Smoothies and Overnight Oats for Breakfast?

One of the perks of being on Facebook nowadays is definitely getting to discover new business ideas, not sure if this sounds weird but actually this platform had helped me to discover great companies and services. This is exactly how I got to discover this Canadian business subscription called
Revive Organics is an smoothie and overnight oats subscription
I call it the breakfast bible because with the gym and work I don't have much time to spend to make a good healthy smoothie, bowl or even more to leave my oats overnight.
The good thing about it is that it only takes me 2 steps to make my breakfast every morning, it takes me no longer than 15 minutes, I like to turn the "smoothies" into bowls just because I found them more filling and I tend to eat less during the day.

The 2 simple steps I follow:
1. I add the following ingredients to the blender:
- 4 to 5 Ice cubes if it's for a single portion,
The Revive Organic Pint ( I recommend you guys the Morning Mocha and the Açai Twist, these are my faves!)

Then add, - 1 Cup of water or if you prefer almond milk

- 1/4 Tsp of Xathan Gum to make the smoothie thicker,
(This makes so much difference on the texture, as the fruits are all freeze you'll get the appearance of an ice cream, just don't add too much water or milk if you want this kind of thickness.

2. Decorate / Add Toppings:
To make this smoothie into a bowl, you'll need:
 -1/2 Banana
-1/4 Tsp of Hemp Seeds
-1/4 Tsp of dark grated chocolate
- 1/2 Tsp of Mixed Nuts
- 1/4 Cup of Granola
- Peanut butter (I love dipping the spoon inside the peanut butter jar to cover it entirely this will make the flavours more even in your smoothie as they're all going to mix together.

The best thing of all? You can get a 50% using my code "Laura50"
Can't wait to show you guys a lot more more.
Stay tunned.

Statement Accessories that are Currently Trending

There is no doubt that accessories are the main key in every outfit.
Speaking of this 2019, they are 5 main items that you will find a lot these days.
Let's start with our main protagonist:
  Hair Pins, E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E.
I adore this trend just because you can get very playful with the way you style your hair. From a simple ponytail, a bun or either with curls, you can get so creative.
I got mine from Couturist, this one especially is very comfortable because it doesn't fall off. I personally love the pearls and gold combination, it's very sophisticated yet simple.
All Chanel Vibes with a Tweed Vest
This is a good accessory especially now that we are transitioning from Winter to Spring.
This traditional fabric, very Chanel, makes this outfit a total statement thanks to the details on the buttons, and overall, the fabric makes it all.
Shrunken bags
It's clear that in Fashion size does not matter. This handbag trend keeps ruling in the Industry more than we thought, this tiny bags they do give an especial authenticity and personality to every outfit even though, you might only be able to fit your credit cards.
50 Shades of Gold
When it comes to styling your jewelry, gold has taken all the spots.
This tone has a very authentic character and its that it can basically be paired with any color and it will look good.
Gold also matches perfectly with Pearls and this is another big character trending nowadays. You will be able to find accessories with these two colors basically everywhere, starting from Forever 21 to Oscar de la Renta, to set just examples.

How I Got Rid Of My Hormonal Acne

Turning 25 wasn't easy at all, going back to last year, I remember how I started getting all these hormonal breakouts, to me it was all confusing because I was eating healthy, doing exercise but hormones they do suck. I'm going to tell you guys all the things and products I purchased that did good, and thank god, today, I don't have a thing.
I started flipping so many things in my daily life, these were simple hacks that did help but these were not the reason why I got cured.

1. I started sleeping more hours.
I've never been that type of person that sleep the entire 8 hours in a row, but thanks to this I started sleeping more hours and I did felt a difference specially because my body started releasing a lot of stress thanks to the lack of sleep I was having at that time.

2. Drinking more water.
Thanks to the winter and considering the fact that normal days are usually cold in here, my only beverage used to be just coffee. I was never feeling thirsty or at least my body wasn't asking me for water, I didn't drink any and this was so wrong! I started  drinking 3 to 4 cups of water per day and I felt a total difference in a week.

3. I started buying Non Comedogenic makeup.
One big recommendation I can give you guys is to start looking for Non Comedogenic makeup, this type of makeup is good when you are dealing with Acne because it doesn't contain ingredients that clog your pores and lead to cause you pimples, personally, this made a total difference, especially with the foundation I was using before and so because in the market, products tend to be the opposite of Non Comedogenic and this is why they cause us so many breakouts.

Almay, Chanel, Clinique, Elf, Estee Lauder, Laura Mercier are example of  brands out there that have included this to some of their products, this is very important to know and it's great too because you can use makeup while you are facing Acne, is just to know what options are good for you and keep away the ones that don't, I discover this thanks to my dermatologist who told me about it. I adore her.

4. Now let's get started with the things I felt a difference instantly:
- I started buying real Aloe Vera, the big plant, Yes I did. When I said I tried everything I was not kidding.  Aloe Vera, is amazing for the scars, to relieve the redness but it won't cure you just because you use it on your daily routine, they are more things to consider, like:

- What cleanser are you using?
I got two amazing cleanser while I was facing this, and these were:
The Mario Badescu Enzime Cleansing Gel, you can find his products in Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie and many stores inside the U.S. and Canada. If not, they are all available online, perks are that the prices are very affordable and these 3 products down below were magic to my Acne, in fact, I keep using them when I'm through my period because they work fantastically.

The great things about this cleanser is that it smells amazing and you can feel that l it really cleans your skin, it doesn't make bubbles as many other cleansers but what make this product different from other out there are the ingredients.
Consequently, you can use their Rose water after, which is amazing to refresh and smooth your skin.

The drying lotion is great to dry up the pimples overnight.

Now, for the second cleanser, which I still use nowadays, is the The Tea Tree Cleanser from The Body Shop , this product is pure magic, that's all I got to say.
Whenever I get a pimple, after 2 days...that's gone. Literally, it's very simple and easy with this cleanser, and the best part? You will pay less than 10.00 dollars for it.

- I got back to my birth control pills, this is very personal when it comes to the brand because our bodies are all different, but this was also essential for my skin recovery, although, my acne was never that aggressive, but I did experienced daily-hormonal breakouts all of a sudden that lead me having scars.

- Last and best product that I've purchased! This is the Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, which btw is one of their best sellers, this solution helped me to get rid of the worst part of all...the  scars.
My only recommendation when using this product being consistent with it, if you don't apply it every day you will waste your money. To me, it worth every dollar, because at the end it got the job done.. it cured my scars! I bought 2 jars, the big ones and that was all.
I applied this every morning and every night for better and faster results.

That's all guys, I'm very happy to say that I'm done dealing with Acne.

The Spring Trends Showing Up Everywhere

Spring 2019, has definitely brought us back some iconic trends that I'm really looking forward in this season, for this occasion I decided to pull an elegant, neutral and pastel inspired look, all from Couturist.

Before deciding to style this look, I organized my thoughts and did my own research with my fashion bible: WGSN  one of the most professional websites to visualize future trends, I've been keeping up with them since I started studying Fashion a couple of years ago.
These were my 4 main conclusions for this Spring:

Make sure to Play along with White.
For this year, the white suiting is officially back. Honestly, this is one of my favourite combinations because you can style it in thousand ways. One of the most important assets here is having clean white pants and a good blazer, personally, I love wide leg pants and oversized blazers, they create a very high-end look.

Big and Black Polka Dots.
We all know that pastels and florals are the queens and kings right now, but come on, the black and white polka dot trend has been spotted in every runway.
To  style this look, you can either decide to play extra, combining prints with prints or the classic way, with neutrals or going monochrome.

Vintage sunglasses are the new black.
I completely have been falling for this especial trend. Sunglasses are a main fashion topic now, we have seen how the 90's style is coming back, the great thing is that there are thousands of styles for every face shape and also for every budget. From Celine to H&M they are million of options, just click on the brand and you'll see.

Petit Bags.
We all know that carrying them isn't the easiest thing as we have so many essentials!
But truth is, they look incredible.
I usually opt to style for the weekends where I only need to take my keys, cardholder and a lipstick with me.
